Gas Regulators & Hoses

Choosing the correct regulator and hose is important when connecting a gas cylinder to an appliance. The correct equipment depends on the type of gas, cylinder and appliance you are using.

🔧 Regulators

A regulator controls the pressure of gas coming from the cylinder before it reaches your appliance.

Different gas cylinders and appliances can require different regulator types and outlet pressures, so you should always check the appliance manufacturer's instructions before purchasing or connecting a regulator.

Never assume that one regulator will work with every gas bottle or appliance.

🔗 Gas Hoses

Gas hoses connect the regulator to your appliance.

When choosing a hose, make sure it is:

• Suitable for LPG gas
• The correct size and connection for your regulator and appliance
• In good condition, with no cracks, damage or signs of deterioration
• Suitable for the intended installation and environment

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when fitting or replacing a gas hose.

⚠️ Safety first

If you're unsure which regulator or hose you need, don't guess. Using the wrong equipment can result in incorrect gas pressure or a gas leak.

If you smell gas, turn off the cylinder if it is safe to do so, avoid flames and ignition sources, and seek appropriate professional assistance.
